Are you upset that Loudoun County has banned all holiday displays at the Leesburg Courthouse this year? Feeling even more betrayed because this was done less than two days before Thanksgiving so as to render the citizenry helpless to counteract this draconian ruling: no creche, no Menorah - but also no tree and no Santa.Please know that that thee Town of Leesburg does not support this action. They apparently understand that in the United States citizens are granted freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. However, the Courthouse stands on Loudoun County property and it is a committee created by the Board of Supervisors who has made this illegal ban.Illegal because the law allows privately sponsored holiday displays on public property. There are legal advocacy groups which could help rectify this situation, but that would take longer than we have to overturn this in time for Christmas and Hanukkah. Is this what the committee was hoping for? ......
